According to new research conducted jointly by Vineland Research and Innovation Centre and the University of Guelph, using banker plant systems in commercial ornamental flower greenhouses offers more efficient and more economical protection than regular releases of Orius. Banker plant systems consist of plants used for the purpose of rearing and sustaining natural enemies, including thrips.
