(June 16, 2012) Carrying on the more than 40-year tradition, Professor Larry Diamond delivers a final lecture to the class of 2012, followed by a few words from the Senior Class Presidents. Drawing on Stanford's motto, "The wind of freedom blows," Diamond traces the rise of democracy since the 1970s, arguing that freedom is a universal value.

The Class Day Lecture is sponsored by the Stanford Alumni Assocation.
