Representative Chris Kelly, Democrat, MIssouri, admits in this recording, to lying about Craig Lentz after Lentz testified at the Senate Hearing on hb1258 on April 24,2012. This bill, if it becomes law will strip Missouri parents of their constitutional right to parent their child. On January 26, 2012 Rep Chris Kelly made statements to the Missouri Net news publication about Craig Lentz, whose son was stolen through a fraudulent attempted adoption that were COMPLETELY FALSE and painted Lentz in a negative light. His statement was: "the adopted child had been living with the adoptive family for almost a year, then she attempted to name a putative father, and he attempted to disrupt the adoption proceedings,"

The Supreme Court of Missouri's unanimous decision in favor of Lentz clearly states that "Here, father TIMELY intervened in the adoption proceeding." The Supreme Court opinion further states that Craig Lentz intervened within "a mere 26 days, rather than the requisite 60 days." So he actually beat the deadline by a long shot, and of course 26 days is a lot less time than the "almost a year" that Chris Kelly stated to Missouri Net. Of course the Missouri Supreme Court would not have found in Lentz's favor if he had waited "almost a year." The Suprem Court's opinion can be found here, Kelly certainly could and should have read it before making these false statements:

Kelly also made to statement "many cases such as these come forward when a biological parent or parents figure out they can financially gain from holding up the process." Craig Lentz spent well over $1million getting his son back. He certainly never made any money from it, and that is well documented. Kelly states that lobbyist, MU professor Mary Beck know of cases when this has happened. WE NOW CHALLENGE MARY BECK OR ANYONE ELSE TO COME UP WITH EVEN 1 SINGLE CASE WHERE A PARENT HAS MADE MONEY FIGHTING TO GET THEIR CHILD BACK IN A FRAUDULENT ADOPTION. These people are professional liars and it is sickening that they are now using their lies in a scheme to strip Missourians of their constitutional right to parent their children.

So why is Rep. Chris Kelly making these false statements? We can only conclude that it is to curry favor and help pass this bill that will strip Missouri parents of their constitutional right to parent their child.

This becomes clear from this recording where Kelly states that though he know that this is bad information he isn't going to retract it because he has to play hardball to get what he wants.

Craig Lentz had his son stolen through a fraudulent adoption and on top of that he is disabled. He should not be the object of public ridicule because of false information given out by Rep. Chris Kelly who wants to get a bill passed on false pretenses.

And worse still, when Kelly uses false information to argue for harsh legislation that will strip Missourians of the right to parent their own children-- Missourians loose, and the hardest ball get hurled at the children who will forever be separated from their real parents because of this legislation.
