Since free public wireless connections are not encrypted, any data that you send and receive from your computer can be picked up by a hacker. Armstrong discusses the many reasons to keep yourself safe on public WiFi, including highlighting the dangers of Rogue Hotspots. He recommends using a Virtual Private Network (VPN) like PRIVATE WiFi to protect all of your sensitive information.
