An entire video of people on bikes that the Dutch would not call cyclists. That is because the Dutch have two words for cyclists. The ordinary type of cyclist, on a sit-up bike in ordinary clothes is called cyclist (fietser). But this type of cyclist, the spandex (lycra) wearing racer, never is. These people are called 'wielrenner' literally 'wheel runner'. They are a tiny minority compared to all the sit-up cyclists, but they do exist. A different look into cycling in the Netherlands. The 'wheel runners'. You'll see lots of special clothing, helmets and faster bikes. This culture does exist, but it is not the standard.
