Hello Facebook, lol! May publish this library if I can get it to be less application-dependent. Right now the drawing instructions (using direct port register access, e.g. PORTD, etc) are running in a tight loop() with a 1ms delay and a 500-count timer counter running serial input. All i/o is done directly to Arduino pins including multiplexing (no driver IC), with a 100-ohm resistor on grounds (going to digital 9 & 10 to select digit). Had a bit of fun writing this one. Even had to probe around and reverse-engineer the LED display (board number SY-80DC, led p/n LEDRED7D1S8*2H9 since I couldn't find those numbers anywhere online) to figure out the pin assignments. Much fun.
