Salem Police Chief, Jeff Dudley, and Salem Commonwealth's Attorney, Tom Bowers, have joined forced to help stop texting while driving in the city. Both men were so moved by the power of AT&T's "The Last Text" video, that they have customized it with for Salem drivers both young and old.
The "Last Text" video was originally produced by AT&T in 2010 and has been viewed nearly 3 million times on YouTube alone. It features four all-too-real stories of individuals whose lives have been changed forever due to texting behind the wheel.
AT&T created this documentary as part of its "It Can Wait" campaign because the company wants consumers to be safe while using its technology. AT&T supplies this video to a variety of organizations for these types of educational purposes.
