I'm giving away a more advanced 3D printer!-http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZpHC_z...

You don't need an expensive makerbot to make high quality 3D prints.
This video is one in a long series of my journey into the Reprap Project. I hosted a kickstarter listing that raised the money for me to build my own 3D printer. The first kit I bought was crap and I ended up buying some Reprap parts for a Prusa mendel. (Those pink ones) After a few days I was up and printing. I had several problems and I fixed most of them by the time I shot this video. I use a Makergear hot end 0.5mm nozzle and a Gen6 board that came with that first crappy kit.

3D printing is a powerful new tech that can partially free us from the costly and wasteful supply chain. I no longer need to buy cheap plastic adaptors, knobs, handles, bottle openers, coat hooks, vases, gears, clips, doorstops, figurines, toy blocks. The list can go on... check out thingiverse.com for thousands of items.

Mastering your own 3D printers is not as easy as you might think. The machine might be perfectly built but the code you feed it may cause some bad prints. Like a race car and a bad driver. At this point I had felt like I had master my printer but I always find something I can do better and it changes everything.
