August 17, 2005 - Headlines/Opening titles to ABC's World News Tonight. Reported by Charles Gibson.

Longtime anchor Peter Jennings died August 8 and the broadcast continued to be introduced as "World News Tonight with Peter Jennings" until August 12. Beginning August 15 the program dropped Jennings's name and was simply "World News Tonight" - as it had last been 1978-83.
