Another tale done in crappy programs, but it works for me. Focusing on my main character, Saavedro of Stratholme, this tale is a look through time at the city he called home. (Thank you, Blizzard, for the Caverns of Time.)
The story starts in the forests around Stratholme; Saavedro - a priest of the Church of Light - is journeying to his city (where he ministers to the people at the Cathedral) from the southern Kingdom of Stormwind, where he serves as Church ambassador between it and Lordaeron. First he stops by the tavern to find out the latest news, and hears something about tainted grain found in the shipments from Andorhal. Then he rides on through the forested hills to the gates of Stratholme, where to his surprise he finds troops assembled. Fearing this was the second coming of the Horde to his beloved Stratholme, Saavedro watches as Prince Arthas emerges from the city, and Uther the Lightbringer - Grand Master of the paladins of the Silver Hand - and Jaina Proudmoore of Dalaran ride up to meet him. Hearing Arthas speak, Saavedro realizes he's not referring to the Horde at all...and then mentions that the city must be purged. Fearful, the priest flees from the scene, leaving Stratholme behind.
Flash forward to the present, and Saavedro is now a paladin himself. Riding the same steed he had all those years earlier, he has visibly aged due to the stresses of fighting the various enemies of the Alliance. Seeing how far Stratholme had fallen, he answers the question asked by this film...
