Professional interpreters spoke out at the California Commission on
Health & Safety and Workers Compensation meeting on 8/15/14
about the attack on non-English speaking injured workers by denying
them professional interpreters. Christine Baker, California Director
of he Department of Industrial Relations has allowed insurance
companies to get their own interpreters who are not certified and
have excluded doctors and workers comp attorneys representing
injured workers from having professional interpreters.
