Setbacks and surprises keep everyone on the edge of their seat as teams perform for their qualifying matches. Intensity builds because a teams ranking can change quickly. Team members support each other and refuse to give up. The final qualifying matches are critical to making the playoff rounds; every team will not make it. All of the students and mentors and coaches demonstrate the ingenuity, determination and teamwork required to compete in FIRST Robotics experience, the varsity sport of the mind.
