A Cavalcade Of Colour @ the Tamworth Country Music Festival 2012
It was on Saturday 28th January 2012 witch was one of Country Music most attended and exciting events hit the streets of Tamworth. The Cavalcade started at 9.00am on Saturday morning of the Festival.
Over 50,000 visitors descend on the streets of Tamworth during the Festival and over 800 artists that perform across the 80 plus participating venues, the Cavalcade has always been a flurry of activity that rounds up much of the 10 day spectacular that is the Tamworth Country Music Festival.
The Cavalcade attracts one of the festival's largest crowds. An array of floats, bands and various equine groups make their way from the corner of Peel and Hill Streets through the CBD ending at Viaduct Park.
This event is one of the most colorful and fun filled events that Tamworth Country Music Festival showcases during the 10 day long Festival.
Country Music fans and crowds line the streets to soak up this creative display often find themselves standing side by side with some of the biggest names in Country Music as fans and stars alike take to the streets to soak up the warm morning sunshine and enjoy the visual display of all things Tamworth and Country Music.
This year, Tamworth Regional Council and proud sponsors Toyota and 2TM have worked tirelessly to ensure that the Cavalcade is free of charge in 2012. Country Music Artists, bands, local businesses and groups are invited to sign up and showcase all they have to offer during this parade of colour and flare.
"2TM is very proud to be a sponsor of the Toyota Cavalcade for 2012. We have been involved in the event for several years, providing prizes for the best business entry. Once again, 2TM will be providing a live on air commentary of the Cavalcade and we'll be keeping everyone informed about this unique event as it happens."
Cavalcade organiser Alisha Hartley "encourages all local businesses and organisations to take advantage of the free entry and be a part of this hallmark event in 2012. For the 40th Festival we want the floats to be bigger and brighter than ever before and to join in and follow the overall festival theme of Looking Forward Looking Back."
Entrants are rewarded for imaginative design and creative construction, and are encouraged to embrace the 40th Festival theme of "Looking Forward, Looking Back".
