Ironman competitor Greg Funk demonstrates 4 essential exercises for strengthening & balancing the muscles of the core to improve stability, movement efficiency and injury-prevention in swimming, running and cycling. The exercises in this program should be practiced 1-3x per session, 2-3/week. Stop exercising if pain, tightness or cramping occurs in the back/spine or hips. If rest and stretching does not help, discontinue the exercise and seek professional advice from a doctor, chiropractor or physical therapist.
