Cyclocross racing traces it's roots back to early 1900's Europe. Now entrenched in the U.S., the cross country bicycle races are held in autumn or winter. Riders are challenged by a demanding course that is filled with terrain changes including water hazards-jumps-tight turns- mud pits, steep climbs and descents. Frequent dismounts, run, then remounts are required to navigate the exhausting course.
