If you lost your dog, your eight month old furry baby girl, how would you feel? Would you know that pup if you walked by her on the street or if you saw her on the stray section of a website?

Over a year ago, Sharzia Rittenhouse of Denton, MD lived through the horror of losing her 8-9 month old female pittie pup. She and her family (including her five children) were devastated, doing everything they could to try to find Mimzy (named after the character in the movie, "The Last Mimzy"). Over time, they realized they would never have their sweet puppy back.

Today (February 16th), Sharzia decided it was time to start looking for another pup, and started looking on line. After pages and pages and pages of available animals she hadn't found one that caught her attention. Decided just ONE more page...and then she saw animal number 225986. Shaken she called the shelter...she would know that face anywhere... She had found the family's beloved pet after over a year after she'd lost her, now at the Kent County SPCA.

Today Mimzy was temporarily reunited with her family (please watch the video, it will definitely get you!) but tonight she is getting spayed and microchipped and tomorrow will go home for good. She goes home to a loving environment where five children can not WAIT to see her and a mom and dad who can not believe the miracle that has taken place. Just when they were finally able to open their hearts to a new family member, they found JUST what they were looking for all along.
