Some people argue the performance of wireless networks being identical or even better than wired networks...WRONG!

When Fast Ethernet came out, it was revolutionary and people couldn't even think of faster speeds. Nowadays the majority of ethernet enabled devices such as NAS, Printers, PS3 and Computers come with Gigabit Ports.

Gigabit ports are backward compatible with 100Mbps ports. If you ever have a choice on which one to get, go for gigabit!

This was an unboxing of the DLink DGS-1008D Green Switch. It provides 8 Gigabit switches and Green Power Capability. The "GREEN" portion comes into play when the switch only allocates the required amount of power to each link rather than pumpung out full power; most of which the computer doesn't even use.
