On Thursday, May 21, 2015, Florida National University (FNU) held the Missing Children’s Prevention Rally in honor of National Missing Children’s Day. The event was held in FNU’s Hialeah Campus.
The rally was designed to help educate the public on how to protect their children from abductions and what to do in case one of their children should wind up missing. Composed of a panel of speakers, who are not only actively involved in helping find missing children, but have been personally affected by a child kidnapping the rally helped raise awareness for this morally compelling issue.
The panel included: Mr. Carlos Aguilar from the Christian Aguilar Search and Rescue Foundation; Ms. Alison Dolan from A Safe Haven for Newborns; Mr. Miguel Inda-Romero from the Missing Children Global Network; Mr. Fernando Alvarez from Missing Children Global Network; Mr. David Vega, Esq. and Mr. Patrick Sessions from the Tiffany Sessions Project. The Florida State Attorney’s Justice in Motion Mobile Office was present. Also present was Mr. Guy Robinson from the Public Defender’s Office along with members from local and county law enforcement.
Florida National University would like to thank the speakers, the sponsors and the local media who helped make this community service event possible.
