Ashton gave Tampa the lead on the power play when he got his own rebound and put it by Hannu Toivonen, who replaced Turco midway through the second.

The Lightning widened the gap 3-1 on Gagne's goal at 1:03 of the third period, but Toews answered back 33 seconds later.

Jones capped the scoring at 14:12 of the third period.
