Electronic music producer and innovator Alluxe releases her video for the track ‘Work My Body’. Joining her is one of the industry’s most sought after percussionists, Salar System. Together they’ve crafted a truly unique track that blends elements of eastern music with futuristic electronic production. Salar’s intricate tabla playing dances above Alluxe’s raw, gritty synth and violin work to dazzle fans of both electronic and world music.
Featured in the video is epic dancer and performer Sarah "Agent Red” Johnston.
Alluxe's "Work My Body" music video was shot by Director Corey Eisenstein at The A/V Club in Los Angeles. The video was shot on the Sony FS-7, mixing in slow-motion footage with real-time footage shot at high shutter speed.
The video is all about movement, light, and form. Moving bodies bathed in an ever-changing palate of color flash in and out of an endless darkness as the song builds, and we catch glimpses of instrumental performances on the tabla and violin. The video exists without a narrative other than the traditional sense, and suggests a timeless celebration of the human body's desire to move.
