On April 18, Congresswoman Corrine Brown urged House Republicans to allow an up or down vote on the transportation bill passed by the Senate. The Senate bill and the Amendment that would be offered by the Democratic leadership on the committee would sustain nearly 2 million jobs each year, provide continued dedicated funding for public transit, streamline project permitting in a responsible way, strengthen Buy America requirements, increase funds for safety programs, and is fully paid for.
