Music and video remix..."Robot Boy" is one my favorite Linkin Park tracks ever. This is my second remix off Linkin Park's 'A Thousand Suns' album! 'V2' meaning Version 2. See my other video to listen to my first remix of "The Catalyst."
The music is accompanied by Zack Synder's 'Sucker Punch' animated short 'A Distant Planet'. I remixed a few scenes from the movie to better coincide with the lyrics of the song, the result of which images and lyrics sync up almost perfectly. I also gave the beginning and ending of the story a blue tint color and left the middle part of the story saturated in color. This was done to better emphasize that the middle part of the story is just Robot Boy's dream or vision, in my version.
The remix of the song was created on Garage Band. The differences are meant to be subtle as to not ruin the integrity of this amazing song. The result were 8 new layered tracks, 3 of which were my own vocals. The first track has my spoken intro of the song's title. The second and third tracks were my vocals of the entire song, sung in various pitches to slightly counter the harmony being used throughout the song and to resemble echoes of the last words on every verse. The last vocal track accompanies my boy Chester's harmonious screaming towards the ending of the song. The most prominent difference is the two-key-synthesized intro I composed that plays throughout the entire song. This was meant to add a "mysterious" element to the entire composition of the song. I also increased the bass and added various filters to create subtle sound effects. I hope everyone enjoys the results.
