Fitchburg Art Museum - opening of the David Abbey Paige show.
David Abbey Paige was the artist on Richard E. Byrd's second Antarctic expedition (1933-35). He spent five years in Fitchburg as a young boy living with his uncle. These oil paintings and pastels are a selection from the collection of The Ohio State University.
Some of the artifacts in the exhibition were loaned by Leverett Byrd, grandson of Richard E. Byrd, and his wife, Cathy.
The exhibition opened on 15 April 2012 and will run through 24 June 2012.
