Since when did Japan become the victim in WWII?! This is absurd. Japan invades China and massacred and tortured the entire population. America wanted to stop the wars, and set up an embargo to accomplish that task. Japan refused to stop its wars and instead bombed Pearl Harbor. This brought America into the war.
America soon realized it would have to invade mainland Japan, known as "Operation Downfall" or "X-day" to end the war. It would have been one of the bloodiest battles in world history because the Japanese citizens were trained to fight to the death, including the children. Thankfully, America dropped the atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki to end the War with Japan. It saved both American and Japanese lives.
It is disgusting that America now sends an ambassador to Japan to memorialize the bombing of Hiroshima, and the USA is made to look like the bad guy. This is a combination of moral bankruptcy and historical illiteracy.
