The History and Political Science Department of Worcester State University is sponsoring a multi-year commemoration of the Sesquicentennial of the United States Civil War. The commemoration began with a portrayal of Frederick Douglass by Guy Peartree. Guy performed twice at WSU. At the morning performance, the Sullivan Auditorium was swarming with students from local high schools, including Burncoat High, University Park, North High, Claremont Academy, Tantasqua High and Millbury High. WSU students were also in attendance.
