I call this a HVTWRC High voltage toroidal wound Rodin coil.

Here are a couple of requests from people in this vidow.
Here is a comment of what I'm trying and why,

I dont have a coil
I would try suspending a 4' length small diameter hollow plastic/polycarbonate tube/cylinder directly in the center, making sure the coil is level.
I would try this because the small screw is not fully centered
* how far out can the metal be magentized
* can a piece of metal be totally suspended
then try this with the coil horizontal/sideways
