If you don't want to own an American-made Les Paul. . . well dang, you're just not an American. Of course, if you are an American, you're probably also hard up on cash. Never fear: the Gibson USA Les Paul Studio Faded is every bit a legitimate Les Paul, from its Burstbucker Pro pickups to its comfy, chunky neck to its carved-maple top.
Owen tests the LP Studio Faded out in the Gearwire studio with a Vox AC15C1 at various levels of gain saturation, then feeds these high-output pickups through a T.Rex Totenschläger modern-gain stompbox. There's nary a rock-step the Les Paul Studio Faded misses.
