This is a Movie of Remembrance honoring my Grandfather, Private Arnold Astle, from the North Shore Regiment, New Brunswick, Canada, He helped to liberate Belgium during World War Two. I designed the movie to play with Terry Kelly's song, A Pittance of Time. with scanned photos of my grandfather and images from Remembrance Day services at Beaverbrook Branch #80 in Nashwaak Bridge, NB, Royal Canadian Legion. I included images of North Shore Regiment crest, the men, Canadian War Memorial, Vimy Ridge, Tomb of the unknown Soldier. D-Day, my Grandfather's gravestone in McGivney, NB where he lays to rest. While I was up in the wee hours of the night putting this movie together, vandals torn down the 3 Meter Granite cross on the Cenotaph in Fredericton, NB where my parents live. I would like to send a message to all Veterans. Those disturbed individuals with hate in their hearts cannot have louder voices than those who celebrate and remember your sacrifices with honor. Silence the hate the same way you did and do still today. UPDATE, It lloks like it may not have been vandalism after all. They think that water may have seeped in around the support rod, froze and expanded causing the cross to topple on it's own weight.
