The Wolf has returned to the forests of the Northeastern United States in the form of genes, passed on between the Western Coyote and Eastern Wolf. These large carnivores have many names from (Coywolf and Brushwolf to the Eastern Coyote). The size of this amazing species is about as large as pure Eastern Wolf with reports of animals in the 60 pound range. Poorly understood and relentlessly hunted this species is a true survivor. Spending time with this incredible animal has taught me to admire and respect this beautiful mammal filling and ancient niche in our northeastern forests. I'm Mark Fraser and to follow me on more exciting wildlife adventures join me at http://www.naturewalkswithmark.org and remember to subscribe to my youtube channel http://www.youtube.com/nwwmark to view early film releases!
