To raise awareness for the tremendous opportunities that the Transatlantic Trade Investment Partnership (TTIP) represents, AmCham Sweden is producing a series of videos that clearly explain the benefits of the proposal in easy-to-understand terms.

The videos feature interviews with representatives from the US and Swedish governments, economic experts and business leaders including US Ambassador Mark Brzezinski, Swedish Minister for Trade Ewa Björling, and Hans Stråberg, Europe Co-Chair for the Transatlantic Business Dialogue.

The sixth video in this series - “TTIP and ISDS Facts” – explains the Investor State Dispute Settlement mechanism that has being discussed as part of the TTIP negotiations. ISDS provides a process for companies and investors in both the European Union and the United States to ensure that provisions are in place to protect investments through an arbitration panel that utilizes a neutral language, neutral regulations and a procedure that takes less time than a court hearing.
