Interactive Chairs is a self initiated project which looks at creating sound and music in a new way. The chairs have been programmed through the MakeyMakey using Arduino software, then mapped to the EXS24 Sampler in Logic Pro, so each chair is an external MIDI. This creates an interactive experience from both sourced samples and digitally created sounds. I thought of many concepts for sound packs, from a simple ratchet to musical instruments. I plan to develop this project and start experimenting with programming the chairs to computer games, lights, visuals and other electrical objects.
