Dr. Rebecca Klaper Shaw Associate Professor School of Freshwater Sciences University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Dr. Klaper studies the effects of pharmaceuticals and nanomaterials on water quality and aquatic populations. This includes using fish and mussels as barometers of bioaccumulation. Her work focuses on pharmaceutical compounds found in the food industry, antibiotics in prescription medications as well as lotions and hand soaps, and psychopharmaceuticals.
