Customer service is the number one priority for successful libraries. Accurate and efficient service is a key goal, whether it is physical or digital. How do you do this? A simple, clean interface that is intuitive are the keys to successful online services. How can you tell if the design is working? Testing your sites and online services with a customer sample can reveal startling issues about your web offerings; issues you overlook because you are too close to the project. Learn about various methods of user testing, and when and why you employ a given method.

Jon Stahler is the Manager of Web and Mobile Application Development for the Columbus Metropolitan Library. He has an extensive background with web technologies and has worked in the user experience field for several years. His co-presenter is Josh Costello, an Applications Designer at the Columbus Metropolitan Library.
