YCQ: Promotional Signage YouTube Summary

In the sixth installment of the "Your Commissary Questions" video series, Michelle Frost, Chief of Promotions and Marketing for DeCA, explains promotional signage in the commissary that is designed to help our customers identify their best chances to save:

• "Extra Savings" signs identify items that are on sale for 20, 30, 40 percent or more off the highest commissary price in the last 52 weeks. The amount of savings is shown in the yellow starburst.
• Blue arrow "Sale" signs point the way to savings between 10 and 20 percent off the lowest commissary price in the last 52 weeks.
• Items that offer a negotiated, everyday low price are marked as "Everyday Savings."

In addition to these signs helping customers get the biggest bang for their buck, other promotional signs are available highlighting special items:

• "Hot New Item" signs feature items that have been added to the commissary's product assortment within the last 90 days.
• "Locally Produced" signs identify items that are grown or produced locally.

These signs are already available in the aisles of many commissaries and will be used throughout all our stores by the end of 2013.
