Fire on the hills above Lower Hutt, gets a very fast response from police and fire service, the latter using specialised 4x4 appliances to get to the flames. Apparently started near the water reservoir about 1/2 km up the fire break at the end of Summit Road - where I run regularly by the way 8-o.
