Flowers In Her Hand Walt Cronin The Gousters © 2008

This was inspired by a photo taken during the Iraq War in 2008 of a young woman lying on the grave of her boyfriend/husband/soldier. This had a profound effect on me and with the help of my good friend Martin Beal, we completed this song.
Peace Always,
Walt Cronin

Quotes:
This is excellent! It sounds like an Irish Lament, an ancient song mode that seeks to reveal the depths of the human spirit!
I listened to this again. This is art and good poetry! I wonder if those lads at Fredericksburg were from the Irish Brigade. They may be talking to you.
T. McGuire

Many years ago I read," Death Steals Life, but it can never take our memories." In your song you capture the fact that, "people die, but relationships and love abide in our memories forever.....death can't steal love ".
A very moving song and video. Keep up the great work.
