This is a 1981 video of the Buffalo Bills vs the SanDiego Chargers. I was doing a lot of blitzing in the game but Dan Fouts always managed to get rid of the ball before he could get sacked. I was matched up for most of the game against Kellen Winslow, but on one play Billy Simpson was covering him and Kellen made a great play staying in bounds and scoring a 67 yard touchdown. I made the mistake of thinking Billy had pushed him out of bounds and by the time I caught up with him and tackled him at the goal line it was too late. They also tried a trick play with Kellen where he's supposed to catch a lateral pass and then throw it downfield, but he drops the pass... which is ruled a fumble. Even if he'd caught the ball, I would have been right there to tackle him. After that play he said something to me under his breath and you can see me quickly turn my head around to look at him. We had a pretty intense rivalry. Later in the game, Kellen got called for a penalty for hitting me in the back after a play was over. Later in the game I had a chance to intercept a pass in the end zone that Dan Fouts was trying to throw to Kellen, but he was able to pull both of my arms back so that I couldn't hold on to the ball. In the end, we beat them 28 to 27 and got a little revenge for them beating us in the Playoffs in 1980.
