The NYU-SCPS Preston Robert Tisch Center for Hospitality, Tourism, and Sports Management and Ecole Hôtelière de Lausanne (EHL) hosted a panel discussion about sustainable hospitality on November 11, 2011. Moderated by Hervé Houdré, regional director and general manager of the InterContinental New York Barclay, the panel discussed the subject of green hospitality and innovation within the hospitality and real estate industries. Sponsored by the Consulate General of Switzerland in New York the forum included members from NYU and EHL Faculty as well as current students and alumni of the respective universities. Panelists include: Claude Béglé,Ph.D., Counsellor EHL and CEO, Symbioswiss; Professor Frédéric Delley, MSc, M.B.A., Head of Innovation and Creativity, Institute of Entrepreneurship and Innovation at EHL (INTEHL); Constantine Kontokosta, Ph.D., PE, Clinical Associate Professor and Director, Center for the Sustainable Built Environment, NYU Schack Institute of Real Estate; Sharr Prohaska, M.S., Clinical Associate Professor, NYU-SCPS Tisch Center.
