Short Video by Christian Counselor, Steve Rossi on The Lord is Your Joshua. A Biblical perspective.

And the LORD will do to them as He did to Sihon and Og, the kings of the Amorites and their land, when He destroyed them. (Deut. 31:4)

Joshua reminds the Israelites that God will destroy their enemies. He was an eye witness to all the wonders God did while he was with Moses.

No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life; as I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not leave you nor forsake you. Jos.1:5

Joshua, a picture of Christ, led the Israelites on to victory as they purged the land of their enemies and occupied the Promised Land. Our God will never leave us nor forsake us, no matter who tries to thwart us. God is with us as He was with those throughout the Bible. He will clear a path and lead us into the Promised Land - Heaven. We must live out our days for Him until that final transition to our new Home. In the meantime, He will fight for us. Meditate on these scriptures as you face the world today. You may still feel like you are in a hostile wilderness, but it won't be long. Follow Christ. He is your Joshua. He will do to those nations or enemies you encounter like He did to those in our past. Jesus will protect you from complete destruction. You must love and obey Him. Work out your salvation with fear and trembling. He is equipping you to fight the good fight today, trust Him.

You have the advantage of having read the rest of the story. You know how the world ends! You know how the Lord is coming back. He is not coming back as a meek, gentle little lamb. No, He is coming back as a Lion! And He is coming to wipe out all your enemies and cast the devil into a pit for 1,000 years. After that, Jesus allows the devil to deceive a little more and then he is thrown into the eternal lake of fire. What a dreadful day for him! In addition to having the Holy Spirit to comfort and guide you, you know that we win! Live your life to the fullest today for Jesus Christ. That day is coming soon when all your troubles and tears will be wiped away. God will avenge the wrongs that have been committed against you by evil, degenerate men. He will repay this wicked generation of God haters for the sin of unbelief, apostasy, and persecuting His saints. Take comfort in knowing that all that is wrong will be no more. All that is Holy and Righteous will remain. Lord Jesus give us the strength to endure. Come quickly Lord!
