base (green kid's paint tray - Michael's)
cell wall/membrane (foam - Michael's)
vacuole (clear sphere candy holder - Party City)
endoplasmic reticulum & mitochondria (jump rope - Michael's),
chloroplasts (yellow poppers - Michael's),
ribosomes (beaded necklace - Party City),
nucleus (small red trash container top - Toys R Us),
nucleolus (red Play-Doh),
labels on toothpicks,
cytoplasm (gel wax - Michael's)
glue gun, glue, scissors, paint

1. cut foam and glue to tray

3. cut jump rope and use rope for ER & handles for mitochondria (paint white & blue)
4. use glue gun to set beads in yellow poppers for chloroplasts
5. remove cover to create window on nucleus
6. create a ball with Play-Doh and put inside nucleus
7. glue gun labels on each organelle
8. heat gel wax and wait until it is cool enough to place in tray (use plastic spoon and if it doesn't bend then it is ready)
9. pour in tray and immediately place each organelle in tray, including beads (ribosomes).
10. let it set and cool.
