Come along this summer as the JOIDES Resolution sails to the North Atlantic Ocean - not far from where the RMS Titanic sank exactly 100 years ago. There, we will explore past climate change, and perhaps uncover some of the underlying reasons those pesky icebergs came to be where they were that cold April night. Join us June 2 - August 1, 2012! The Integrated Ocean Drilling Program (IODP) is an international research program dedicated to advancing scientific understanding of the Earth through drilling, coring, and monitoring the subseafloor. The JOIDES Resolution is a scientific research vessel managed by the U.S. Implementing Organization of IODP (USIO). Together, Texas A&M University, Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory of Columbia University, and the Consortium for Ocean Leadership comprise the USIO. The education department of the USIO provides oversight of video production, and the program is funded by the National Science Foundation.
