If you have a woodstove fireplace then you no doubt have had to deal with the issue of how to clean the glass at some point. It is normal for the glass to get a build up of bi product of the burning process, for example, creosote, resins, etc. One of the ways to reduce the build up is to make sure that you have a good hot burn - this will often keep the amount of residue to a minimum. However, it is not always feasible to do this, so how to deal with cleaning the glass? You could spend lots of $$ on chemical cleaners, or try my solution: get some old newspaper; scrunch it up and dip in some plain, clean water and then dip in some left over ashes, in the box. Go to it! You will be amazed at how quickly your glass is sparkling clean! Try it and let me know how it works for you....
