Following the devastating earthquake that struck Nepal on April 25 and subsequent aftershocks, dozens of CGI members responded to provide critical humanitarian assistance throughout the hardest hit areas of the country. Several members who had a presence on the ground in Nepal before the earthquake made a series of commitments to address the long-term reconstruction needs in distinct sectors, including health systems, education, energy, and housing, all with the objective to provide resilient infrastructure to empower local communities. Through CGI, these members will focus on the important work that remains to be done as the emergency phase of the disaster has passed.
