This is the Iron Dragon roller coaster at Cedar Point in Sandusky, OH. This is a suspended steel roller coaster from Arrow Dynamics. Please don't confuse this type of coaster with the Inverted coaster such as Raptor at the same park. The only thing they have in common is that the trains on both types run below the tracks and that's it. Here are the differences; 1) a inverted coaster has inversions where as a suspended coaster doesn't, 2) a inverted coaster has trains that are fixed and aren't able sway from side to side and a suspended coaster does sway from side to side, 3) inverted coasters don't have floors on their trains and suspended coasters do.
Here are the stats. This coaster was Designed by the famous Ron Toomer and built by Arrow Dynamics for $4,000,000 USD. It opened on 6/11/1987 and originally had supports that were painted white. It has two lift hills, a height of 76ft, a top speed of 40mph, a track length of 2,800ft, and a ride time of two minutes. This coaster has earned a nickname in the coaster enthusiast and it's "Draggin Iron" due to the rather slow pace of the coaster.
