In this video you can see our biomass pellet boiler burning a wide range of fuel pellets, including wood pellets. Through our research into burning various biomass pellet fuels we have learnt which features stoves and furnances need to burn a wide range of fuels. But what is biomass? Biomass is any organic material that can be used for fuel, therefore this obviously includes wood, but it also includes various grasses like switchgrass and hemp among other biomass fuels. Hemp actually produces fuel pellets which burn very similar to wood pellets. The advantages of biomass are that it can be grown locally to produce a cheaper fuel and also generate local jobs. Pellet stoves are now been used by many home owners to reduce their heating bills. If you purchase the right pellet stove insert you will be able to save even more money by been able to burn a wider range of biomass fuel pellets. A good example of a quality wood pellet stove would be the products produced by Harman. The Harman pellet stove features a feed system and burn pot design which enables higher ash content pellet fuels to burn efficently. Through our pellet stove reviews we have found that while some furnaces are very good at dealing with the higher ash, others can only burn the most expensive premium grade wood pellets. These same rules apply to many pellet boilers and biomass boilers, some are vary capable, while others are very limited in their fuel choice. You obviously want to purhcase a biomass stove that will let you heat your home as cheaply as possible, therefore you need to purhcase the most fuel flexible products. We have put a free guide together on our research into pellet stoves and biomass boilers.
