Here's over 5 minutes of improv time with this Free to use backing track for "not for profit" practice, performances and videos The basic changes are on the video. I took a more Modern Jazz than traditional Bossa Nova approach to the comping. This is a really good track for you guys just starting out playing jazz because you can play thru all 16 bars with just two scales or change scales for each chord or any combination of those two approaches. If you start out with the two scale approach you could use the Eb major scale over the 1st 8 bars...and that's because the Eb major scale over Cm7 is Aeolian Mode, over Fm7 is Dorian Mode, over Dm7b5 is Locrian Mode, and over G7alt is Phrygian Mode. Then for bars 9 thru 12 you could use Db major scale because over Ebm7 it's Dorian Mode, over Ab7 it's Mixolydian Mode and over Db major 7 it's Ionian Mode. The other options are too many to list here. Have fun!
