"ohh this movie is even stupider then I thought"  no kidding. It went from a knock off planet of the apes to a lazy 2001-ish style ending. "we all fell asleep and had this same dream where we could feel pain and hunger and apparently went 1000 years into the future and came back with a necklace in 7 days." man, theres a stretch, theres reaching for it, and then theres grasping at straws like an opposing lawyer in an open and shut case. That 3rd act is so bad its like multiple fanfictions trying to connect from multiple different original material.

+Neil Purcell Wow, no wonder it looked so old. I thought it was kinda weird they'd be dressing like that in the late 80's.

The footage in the movie is from a TV show that aired in 1974. It was recut into a movie and dubbed in English for American audiences in 1987. That's why it has that production code.

Kevin Murphy's Professor Bobo makeup was better than the ape masks in this movie. And that was on like... a two-dollar budget.

Man, Japan must be a horrible place to live, what with mountains exploding all the time and monkeys rising up as evil warlords

There are monsters there too. Now wonder why there are so many earthquakes and Tsunamis there. Japan is cursed.
The music at the end always used to make me sad as a kid and it still does!
+KEX REX Same here, especially when I watched the final episode.
