There is a new dance craze hitting the EDM scene and I think we will start to see these light gloves allowed in raves as gloving takes over the rave scene. Whether its poi, flow, glow sticks, or whatever it is you love to do when raving, let's all make a big enough impact and get it allowed back into raves again.
Im in my 30's so I remember the late 90's when raves were the shit! Yes they were pretty freakin awesome and more of a show then anything. I got to witness many underground raves and met a lot of the big techno names from that era. Also met some big hip hop acts along the way including Eminem (before he signed) and Wu Tang Clan.
But raves would be much more entertaining with the advancements in light shows like gloving and poi. I would be amazed if I saw this stuff at a rave. They wont let you in the door though :(
Sucks because I just bought a pair of elite chroma 24s from EmazingLights and was devastated when I got to the security at the last rave and they told me I couldn't even bring them. There $100 so I had to get out of line, take them to my car, and start over in the line. This madness has got to stop lol.
Gloving is an art and EmazingLights is leading the pack when it comes to LED gloves, light gloves, or gloving gear in general. They also have quite a few tutorials on their site if you'd like to get involved and become a glover :) After an episode of Shark Tank aired and Daymond John and Mark Cuban gave owner of EmazingLights, Brian Lim a deal for $8 million, you can expect this genre to take of in full effect. Gloving is easy for everyone to do and is catching on quickly as it goes perfectly to EDM music (a growing genre) and Dubstep (a sub-genre of EDM).
Also gaining attention is finger tutting and often people that are into gloving battle people into finger tutting. I personally think some of the finger tutters who mix it up with break dancing are a little better as performers, but I haven't seen a glover really kick it up to tah level yet. As soon as they do, watch out tutters!
