This video will walk you through how to develop an embedded sensor node prototype with heart rate sensor. You will speed through configuration of the PIC® microcontroller and heart rate sensor by using MPLAB® Code Configurator (MCC), a graphical programming interface. This tool will generate libraries with simple APIs so that you can spend time working on your solution instead of messing with device registers or communication protocols. It is simple to expand on the ideas talked about in this video. By using this same tool, a communication method can be implemented to transform this simple wired sensor solution to an IoT or wearable solution.
