Verse 1

1960, hopes were high
For a new man who would lead
The USA to better times
For all colour and creed
The time had come for everyone
For freedom and free will
But no-one knew what was to come
Someone, was ready for the kill

Chorus

JFK is how he's known to me
His empire state ended back in '63
This president, he was the man
A Kennedy through and through
How would you run a country if it were you?
RPT x 1

Verse 2

It didn't go well from the start
No matter how he tried
The Bay of Pigs and Cuban Missiles
Flying through the sky
Things settled down 'til 3 years then
That fateful day did come
To Dallas, Texas he would go
And there, his time will be done

RPT chorus x 2

Mid

The people cheered
They all came out
A day they'd remember and all talk about
The shots rang out
As the cars passed them by
No-one could believe why this man had to die!

RPt chorus x 2
